Well, it is that time of year again! We are having our Back to School BBQ on Thursday, September 14. Everyone is welcome to come out to the school and join us for a burger. The weather looks like it is going to cooperate with us as well.

Annual Alumni Basketball Tournament

It is that time of year again! Time for our Annual Alumni Basketball Tournament. This year's event will take place on April 21st & 22nd weekend. For schedule information please refer to the online schedule for your games. The various Chieftains Rosters and Eagles Rosters are still changing a little, but are fairly close to being setup for the weekend.

Sr. Girls basketball team wins their home tournament!

The Sr. Girls basketball team finished 1st in their home tournament on the weekend!  They defeated Keremeos 63-53 and Barriere 53-30 on their way to the final.  A hard fought final played against Abbotsford Christian and the Eagles prevailed 48-38.

Alyssa & Katrina Lawley were selected to the 1st All-Star Team.  Hannah Exley was named Most Valuable Player.  The Eagles next game is Tuesday Dec 6 at Unity Christian at 6:15pm.

Grade 7 Pancake Breakfast

All grade 7 students are welcome to attend the annual Grade 7 Pancake breakfast this Friday - Sept. 9.  The Leadership students will be hosting this event before school on Friday. Bring your appetites!

Sr. Girls Finish Second in the Province!

The Sr girls basketball team lost a hard fought battle to the #1 ranked Langley Christian Lightning to claim 2nd place at the Provincial Championships at Duncan.  Taylor Lees was the Player of the Game for Agassiz.  Hannah Exley was selected to the tournament All-Star team.  This was the girls best placing since 2004  when they placed 2nd and a 1st place finish in 2005.

Sr. Girls Advance to the Championship Game

The Sr girls basketball team defeated #2 ranked Mulgrave Secondary (North Vancouver) 60-59 to advance to the Provincial Championship game.  Sydney VanderWyk was selected Player of the Game for her aggressive defense and three point shooting.  Hannah Exley led the way with 33 points and 4 clutch free throws in the last 2 minutes.  Down 59-58 with 10 seconds remaining Alyssa Lawley made 2 free throws to put the Eagles up 60-59. Great defense in the final 10 seconds clinched the victory.  The Eagles play #1 ranked Langley Christian at 5pm Saturday for the BC Provincial Championship. Live Stream.

Sr. Girls Win Their Second Game!

The Sr. Girls basketball team beat #3 ranked Cedars Christian 76-53 to advance to the semifinals vs Mulgrave Friday at 7 pm.  Hannah Exley was the Player of the Game with 31 pts.  She led the way in a dominating 1st half with 25 of her points as the Eagles scored a season high 47 pts in the 1St halfloor to  lead 47-35.   Alyssa Lawley had 22 pts including four 3-point shots.  Katrina Lawley chipped in 15 playing on a twisted ankle.

Sr. Girls win their first game at Provincials!

The Sr girls basketball team won their opening game at provincials 50-45 versus the Kelowna Christian Knights.  Millar Frederickson and Hannah Exley made clutch free throws in the 4th quarter to seal the win after Alyssa Lawley hit three 3-point shots in the last 4 minutes. Player of the Game was Alyssa Lawley with 15 pts. Taylor Lees had 10 and Hannah Exley had 7.  Next game Thursdayat 3pm.

Sr. Girls Basketball Team will return to Provincials this year!

The Sr. Girls punched their ticket to the Provincial Championships this past weekend by finishing 3rd in the Fraser Valley playoffs.  The Eagles lost their first game to Credo Christian 62-48 on Friday.  Hannah Exley led the way with 23 pts.  Taylor Lees and Sydney VanderWyk had 8 apiece.  The Eagles bounced back to tame the St. John Brebeuf Bears on Saturday 67-42.  Hannah Exley again led the way with 24 points including 14 made freethrows.  Alyssa Lawley had 14 pts, Katrina Lawley 12 and Sydney VanderWyk 10.
